Washington, District of Columbia, United States, May 2026 – Virtru has announced the appointment of Jen Swensson as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Bringing more than two decades of HR leadership experience across high-growth technology and private equity-backed organizations, Jen steps into the role at a significant stage of Virtru’s growth journey.
Known for building scalable people functions and employee-first cultures, Jen has led transformational HR initiatives across cybersecurity, legal technology, communications, and SaaS organizations. In her new role, she will help strengthen Virtru’s people strategy, leadership capability, talent engagement, and organizational culture as the company continues advancing global data privacy and protection solutions.
Prior to joining Virtru, Jen Swensson served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Casepoint, where she played a key role in shaping the company’s HR and people strategy during a phase of accelerated growth. Before becoming CHRO, she also served as Vice President – People, helping strengthen organizational capability and employee engagement initiatives.
Earlier, Jen served as Chief People Officer at Deepwatch, where she built the people function from the ground up and helped establish a highly engaged remote-first culture in the cybersecurity space. Her leadership focused on succession planning, employee experience, talent strategy, and organizational growth.
She also spent nearly five years with KLDiscovery, including roles as Vice President – Global Human Resources and Director – Human Resources, leading global HR initiatives for more than 2,000 employees across 20 countries. During her tenure, she supported multiple acquisitions while aligning people strategies with aggressive business growth objectives.
Before that, Jen held HR leadership positions with organizations including MHM Services, RCN Business, and Aptela, where she contributed to talent strategy, organizational development, performance management, compliance, and leadership engagement across rapidly evolving business environments.
In addition to her corporate leadership journey, Jen has been actively involved in executive HR communities, serving as a founding member of CPOHQ and as a member of Chief, networks dedicated to advancing senior people leaders and women executives.
