Washington DC–Baltimore Area, United States, December 2025 – Jennie Toner-Algın has taken on a new leadership role as Director, Talent and Leadership Development at MedStar Health, where she is responsible for shaping system-wide leadership capability, accelerating talent readiness, and driving performance across all levels of the organisation.
In her new role, Jennie Toner-Algın leads enterprise-wide strategies covering succession planning, leadership pipeline development, executive coaching, and performance management, while enabling scalable, technology-driven career development solutions that strengthen MedStar Health’s leadership bench and organisational effectiveness.
Before this appointment, she served as Senior Learning Program Manager at MedStar Health, where she led multiple system-wide learning initiatives to build leadership capability and bench strength. Her work included designing and implementing leadership development programs, serving as the subject matter expert for high-potential leadership programs, developing metrics for learning impact, and partnering closely with HR and business leaders as part of a Center of Excellence.
Prior to joining MedStar Health, Jennie Toner-Algın held senior organisational effectiveness and leadership roles at MITRE, where she led national-level health innovation, behavioural science, and CMS/NIH-linked programs that advanced health system performance and stakeholder engagement. She also built deep healthcare and public health talent development expertise through her leadership with ATD Maryland and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and earlier in her career developed large-scale learning and communications programs across global academic, government, and nonprofit institutions.
