Sanford, Florida, USA, July, 2024 — Jill Wingate, who has over twenty years of experience in Human Resources, was named Vice President of Human Resources at Wharton-Smith, Inc. Jill’s responsibilities include ensuring that the employee experience and HR operations across Wharton-Smith meet the organization’s values and current and future business needs. Jill will direct HR operations including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and HRIS/data management. Jill will strategically monitor and enhance employee engagement, working to maximize retention and satisfaction.
Jill’s career, which began in 2003, has been marked by significant achievements. She has worked in diverse sectors such as finance, higher education, and, most recently, construction, where she advanced her career with The Companies of Nassal, A PCL Company. Jill holds a Professional in Human Resources Certification.
In addition to her professional experience, Jill graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Florida and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tampa.
Jill’s passions include supporting employees in their career growth and enhancing their skills to meet any challenge that comes their way. She serves on her children’s school’s PTA, is a Girl Scout Leader, and is a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church, where she serves on their scholarship committee. She loves the outdoors and can often be found on one of Central Florida’s many lakes on the weekends.
