Leander, Texas, United States, December 2025 – Jim Rose has been appointed as Executive Director – Human Resources at Leander Independent School District (Leander ISD). In this role, he will lead district-wide human resources strategy, talent development, leadership pipelines, and employee experience across one of the fastest-growing public school systems in Texas.
With nearly seventeen years of service at Leander ISD, Jim brings deep institutional knowledge and a strong track record of educational leadership, school transformation, and academic excellence.
Before his appointment, Jim Rose served for nearly a decade as Principal of Running Brushy Middle School at Leander ISD, where he led academic strategy, staff development, and student success initiatives. Earlier, he served as Principal of River Ridge Elementary, strengthening instructional effectiveness, community engagement, and leadership development.
Alongside his district leadership roles, Jim has contributed to higher education as an Adjunct Faculty Member and Dissertation Committee Member at Concordia University Texas, mentoring future education leaders and contributing to graduate programs in educational administration.
Prior to joining Leander ISD, he held multiple leadership and instructional roles with Monroe County Community School Corporation and Round Rock ISD, including Principal of Binford Elementary, Assistant Principal at Jackson Creek Middle School, and Assistant Principal at Caldwell Heights Elementary, building a strong foundation in school leadership, discipline systems, and instructional excellence. He began his career in education as a classroom teacher, athletic director, and coach in Indiana school systems.
Jim holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University Texas and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Indiana University Bloomington.
