Solihull, England, United Kingdom, October 2025 — Joanne Fitzgerald (Chartered FCIPD) has been appointed as Associate Director, Human Resources at Collins Aerospace, marking another key milestone in her distinguished HR leadership journey. In this new role, she will drive strategic HR initiatives, talent development, and organizational transformation within one of the world’s leading aerospace and defense companies.
Joanne has been part of the Collins Aerospace family for over six years, where she has held multiple leadership roles, most recently serving as Human Resources Director for the Wolverhampton site. Prior to that, she was Associate Director, Talent Management & HR Partner, where she played a pivotal role in shaping talent strategies, leadership programs, and succession planning across the organization.
Earlier in her tenure, Joanne served as Head of HR, Global Functions and HR Manager at UTC Aerospace Systems, the precursor to Collins Aerospace. Her experience spans end-to-end HR leadership, organizational design, and people strategy across engineering, manufacturing, and corporate functions.
Before joining Collins Aerospace, Joanne worked with Goodrich Aerospace as an Employee Development Specialist, leading the design and implementation of leadership development programs across UK and US operations. She began her HR career at Claire’s Accessories, providing generalist HR support across retail operations and European markets.
Recognized as a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, Joanne brings a deep understanding of people management, culture transformation, and leadership development—skills that will be instrumental in advancing Collins Aerospace’s vision of innovation, inclusion, and excellence in the aerospace industry.
