Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia, December 2024 – John Stevenson has joined Aspen Medical as its Chief Financial Officer, taking charge of the company’s financial health and accounting functions across its Australian and global operations. Based in Canberra, John will collaborate closely with the executive team to drive strategy development and execution while ensuring operational excellence.
John brings extensive experience in financial leadership and governance across diverse industries. Most recently, he served as Non-Executive Director at the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia in Queensland, contributing to the healthcare organization’s strategic direction.
Prior to that, John held key roles at Namoi Cotton Limited, where he stabilized and grew Australia’s largest ASX-listed cotton agribusiness as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. His efforts in restructuring debt, raising equity, and implementing strategic growth initiatives led to significant business turnaround and market capitalization growth.
John also played a pivotal role at Wellard Limited, Australia’s largest livestock exporter, as Chief Financial Officer and later Executive Director, driving financial restructuring and strategic pivoting efforts. Earlier, he contributed to the success of Farmbot Monitoring Solutions, Consolidated Pastoral Company, and other prominent organizations through his leadership in finance, governance, and strategy.
