Barnsley, England, September 2024 – Julie Pinder has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). With her extensive experience in HR leadership, Julie will oversee the organization’s people strategy, ensuring that NHSBT continues to foster a culture of care, innovation, and quality while supporting its life-saving work.
Before joining NHSBT, Julie Pinder held the role of Chief People Officer at NHS Digital for nearly six years. During her tenure, she played a key role in driving strategic HR initiatives, including workforce transformation and the implementation of digital solutions that enhanced employee engagement and operational efficiency.
Prior to NHS Digital, Julie served in various leadership positions at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), where she was instrumental in leading significant HR transformation programs. As the HR Director for Strategy, OD and Capability, she successfully managed the organization’s strategic HR operations. Her previous role as Programme Director for the Employee Deal saw her overseeing the reform of pay and terms and conditions for approximately 79,000 employees, a major transformation project.
Earlier in her career, Julie spent five years as an HR Business Partner at T-Mobile, gaining valuable experience in HR strategy and business operations, which laid the foundation for her future success in HR leadership roles.
