Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, United States, September 2024 – Karen O’Connor has been appointed as Vice President of Human Resources at Synapse ITS, where she will lead the development of HR strategies, foster a culture of innovation, and align talent initiatives with the company’s growth objectives. Karen will oversee all HR functions for the company, ensuring the right workforce is in place to support Synapse ITS’s mission of enhancing roadway safety and efficiency through transportation technology solutions.
Before joining Synapse ITS, Karen O’Connor spent nearly six years at CECO Environmental Corporation, where she held various leadership positions, most recently as Senior Director, HR Corporate Services. In this role, she managed HR operations and strategy for CECO’s global industrial solutions, driving HR initiatives that aligned with the company’s environmental and clean energy goals.
Karen also served as Director of HR for North America at CECO, where she led HR teams across multiple locations and played a key role in workforce planning, talent development, and employee engagement.
Prior to her time at CECO, Karen was Director of Field HR at ACE Cash Express, a leading financial services provider, where she oversaw HR functions for a network of retail locations. Her work focused on employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition strategies.
Earlier in her career, Karen worked as a Senior Human Capital Consultant at Sirius Solutions, LLLP, where she provided HR consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. She specialized in leadership and organizational development, talent management, and change management.
