Harrison, New Jersey, United States, September 2025 – Gotham FC, the 2023 NWSL Champions representing New Jersey and New York City, has appointed Kari Fleischauer as Chief Operating Officer. In her new role, Kari will oversee business operations, strategic growth, and organizational performance as the club continues to build its championship legacy on and off the field.
Kari joins Gotham FC after more than five years with Angel City Football Club, where she rose through multiple leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Head of Strategy & Chief of Staff, following her tenure as VP of Strategy & Chief of Staff and Chief of Staff. During her time there, she played a central role in shaping strategy, driving operations, and supporting the club’s rapid growth and innovative business model in women’s sports.
Before her tenure at Angel City FC, Kari spent over three years at Crooked Media. She served as Finance and Operations Manager and earlier worked in Business Operations, where she was instrumental in business modeling, financial planning, and building operational structures that supported the company’s growth as a major media voice.
Earlier, Kari was part of the SpaceX team in Business Strategy and Operations Procurement, contributing to supply chain and finance strategy during a critical period of scaling. She began her career at Goldman Sachs as an Analyst and Summer Analyst, gaining deep exposure to asset management, investment consulting, and advisor sales.
Her early career experiences also reflect a strong foundation in sports and media. She served as an Athletic Information Analyst at Northwestern University, managing data and analysis for ESPN and the Big Ten Network, and worked as a Baseball Information Intern for the Seattle Mariners, developing content, research, and media support for Major League Baseball coverage.
