Chicago, Illinois, United States, November 2025 – UNITE HERE HEALTH has appointed Kate Collins as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this strategic leadership role, Kate will drive the organization’s human capital strategy, culture transformation, and talent development initiatives, aligning people and performance with the mission of delivering high-quality, affordable healthcare for hospitality, food service, and gaming industry workers across the United States.
Before joining UNITE HERE HEALTH, Kate Collins founded BrightPoint Coaching & Consulting, LLC, where she served as Founder & Executive Coach for nearly six years. At BrightPoint, she partnered with executives and organizations to strengthen HR strategy, culture, and organizational design, while offering leadership coaching, team interventions, and customized development programs. Through BrightPoint, she became a trusted advisor for leaders navigating transformation, performance challenges, and culture alignment.
Earlier, Kate served as Director of Talent & Organizational Development at Inova Health System, where she helped design and implement a comprehensive Talent Development strategy during a major organizational transformation. Her contributions included onboarding senior leaders, establishing new cultural values and behaviors, and overhauling system-wide orientation and learning initiatives — all of which supported Inova’s goal of achieving Magnet designation and creating an engaged workforce.
Prior to Inova, she worked as Senior Leader & Director of Learning & Organizational Development at the Screen Actors Guild – Producers Pension & Health Plans (SAG-AFTRA Plans) in California. There, she built the Talent & OD function from the ground up, established a competency model, introduced an enterprise-wide learning management system (LMS), and acted in an interim CHRO capacity. Her leadership in shaping culture, strategy, and systems integration left a lasting mark on the organization.
Kate also held influential roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond as a Talent Management and Organizational Development Consultant, and earlier with Capital One, where she was Director of Organizational Development through ADS Consulting. In these roles, she facilitated cultural transformations, leadership programs, competency frameworks, and major organizational redesigns — earning recognition for her ability to blend strategic HR vision with empathetic leadership.
Kate began her professional journey in education and early leadership roles across organizations including Navy Federal Credit Union, Commerce Bank, and Anne Arundel County Public Schools, developing a strong foundation in learning design, leadership development, and people engagement that continues to influence her HR philosophy today.
