London, United Kingdom, January 2025 – Katharine Hall has assumed the position of Interim Chief People Officer at DLA Piper, where she will oversee people strategy and talent development initiatives across the global law firm’s offices. Her focus will be on enhancing leadership capabilities, cultural alignment, and supporting the firm’s strategic growth objectives during this transitional period.
Katharine Hall has been with DLA Piper for approximately five years, serving as Head of HR UK and International Group Practices before her recent appointment. During this time, she played a significant role in shaping talent strategies and overseeing HR practices across the firm’s UK and international operations.
Prior to her tenure at DLA Piper, Hall served as HR Practice Head at JD Haspel Executive Search for nearly two years, where she specialized in executive HR talent acquisition and leadership advisory services.

Before that, she was the HR Director at Santander UK for approximately one year, focusing on transformational HR strategies and leadership development across the banking sector.
Hall also had a distinguished tenure at Barclays, where she held various leadership roles over a seven-year period. These included HR Director, Head of Leadership, Learning & Talent, and Head of Resourcing, where she played a critical role in talent acquisition, leadership development, and strategic HR initiatives across multiple business units.
Earlier in her career, Hall worked with HMV as Head of HR and HR Controller/Divisional HR Manager, and began her HR leadership journey as Personnel and Training Manager at Sainsbury’s, where she developed foundational expertise in training and people management.
