Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 – Mittal Solanki has joined Axis Mutual Fund as Head – Corporate Communications, marking a significant leadership addition as the organization continues to strengthen its brand positioning and stakeholder engagement.
In her new role, Mittal will lead the corporate communications strategy, focusing on brand reputation, media relations, strategic messaging, and stakeholder communication, supporting Axis Mutual Fund’s growth and market leadership in the asset management space.
Mittal brings nearly 14 years of experience from Axis Bank, where she most recently served as Vice President – Corporate Communications. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s communication strategy, managing media relations, driving change communications, and strengthening online reputation management.
She progressed through multiple leadership roles at Axis Bank, including Deputy Vice President, Assistant Vice President, Senior Manager, and Manager – Corporate Communications, consistently contributing to strategic communications, crisis management, and brand building initiatives. Her work involved handling media interactions, press conferences, award nominations, and engagement with key industry bodies such as FICCI, CII, and ASSOCHAM.
Earlier, Mittal worked with ICICI Lombard General Insurance, where she managed external communications and media relations, gaining strong exposure to the financial services sector.
She began her career at Adfactors PR, where she handled clients across banking, hospitality, and investment sectors, building a strong foundation in public relations and communications strategy. She also completed a marketing internship with Virgin Records India, adding early exposure to brand and marketing communications.
Mittal holds a Master’s degree in Politics with specialization in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi.
