St. John Ambulance Canada is excited to welcome Katie Croal as the new Chief Learning Officer, a role she embarked upon in March 2024. With a rich history of over 20 years in learning and development, Katie brings a wealth of expertise to one of Canada’s foremost health service organizations.
In her most recent position before joining St. John Ambulance, Katie served as the Senior Advisor for Corporate Learning and Organizational Development at the House of Commons of Canada. During her tenure from September 2023 to April 2024, she led the enhancement of leadership development frameworks and played a critical role in advancing organizational effectiveness.
Prior to her role at the House of Commons, Katie was integral in shaping learning strategies at H&R Block, where she managed learning and development from February 2019 to October 2023. Her leadership significantly improved training programs across various tax services, adapting learning materials to both in-person and virtual formats, and ensuring compliance with evolving tax legislation.
Her earlier experiences include impactful positions at FGL Sports Ltd and as a National Training Specialist, where she developed and maintained training programs that significantly elevated employee performance and engagement.
