Pune, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 – Thermax Limited Group has appointed Kavita Singh as its new Group Chief Human Resources Officer (GCHRO), marking a significant leadership addition as the company continues strengthening its global growth and transformation agenda across the energy and environment sector.
Kavita joins Thermax after a highly successful five-year tenure with United Breweries Ltd., where she served as Chief Human Resources Officer and led large-scale people transformation initiatives across manufacturing operations, leadership development, workforce capability building, and organizational culture.
In her new role at Thermax Group, Kavita will lead the organization’s global people strategy, talent transformation, leadership capability development, workforce effectiveness, and culture initiatives across its diversified international operations.
Prior to joining Thermax Limited, Kavita Singh served as Chief Human Resources Officer at United Breweries Ltd., where she led the people function across 19 manufacturing plants, 16 co-pack operations, and a workforce of over 12,000 employees in a highly unionized environment. During her tenure, she focused extensively on leadership development, workplace equity, talent strategy, employee wellbeing, and change management to support business transformation and operational excellence.
Before United Breweries, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Hindustan Zinc Limited, one of India’s leading integrated zinc producers. There, she managed HR strategy and people processes across 11 locations and a workforce exceeding 20,000 employees, driving initiatives around talent management, governance, industrial relations, community skill development, and leadership capability enhancement.
Kavita also spent over a decade with A.P. Moller – Maersk across several global leadership roles. As Regional Director – Head of Human Resources, Africa, South Asia & Middle East, she led people strategy across 27 international markets for Damco Logistics. Earlier, she served as Global HR Business Partner at the company’s Copenhagen headquarters and also led HR operations for India and Sri Lanka, focusing on leadership pipeline development, workforce strategy, rewards, performance management, and organizational transformation.
Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership roles with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Tata AIG, and Reliance Infocomm, building strong expertise across talent acquisition, HR business partnering, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, and HR technology implementation.
Kavita holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Bharathidasan Institute of Management.
