In this role, he worked closely across sales, marketing, digital innovation, e-commerce, advertising, and customer development, focusing on delivering value for customers, employees, and shareholders in a highly competitive consumer-facing market.

Before Castrol, Lele spent nearly 14 years with Unilever, where he held several senior leadership roles across India and international markets. Most recently, he served as Executive Director – Sales & Customer Development, South Asia at Hindustan Unilever Limited, where he was appointed to the company’s Management Committee. In this capacity, he led the end-to-end sales and customer development function, managing a large nationwide organisation spanning frontline sales, customer marketing, and centres of excellence.

Earlier during his Unilever tenure, Kedar Lele served as Chairman & Managing Director and previously as Chief Operating Officer at Unilever Bangladesh, where he led overall business operations, go-to-market strategy, and organisational performance, while also serving on the board of Unilever Consumer Care Ltd. His leadership focused on building consistent, competitive, profitable, and responsible growth, alongside a strong emphasis on community impact.

Lele’s earlier career includes senior roles within Unilever India, where he progressed through positions such as Vice President, General Manager – East, Marketing Manager – Ice Cream, and Branch Sales Manager – Ice Cream, contributing to business turnarounds, regional growth, channel transformation, and brand innovation. Prior to Unilever, he held roles at Kimberly-Clark Lever Ltd, Monster.com, BPL Innovision, and DDB Mudra Group, building a strong foundation across sales, marketing, advertising, digital products, and brand management.
