Chicago, Illinois, United States, June 2026 – Tempus AI has appointed Kelli Teno-Manalli as Vice President, Head of Communications, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to expand its role in advancing precision medicine through artificial intelligence, data, and diagnostics.
In her new role, Teno-Manalli will lead corporate communications strategy for Tempus AI, helping shape the company’s narrative as it accelerates the application of AI-enabled technologies to improve healthcare decision-making, advance precision medicine, support drug development, and enhance patient outcomes. Her appointment comes at a time when healthcare organizations are increasingly leveraging artificial intelligence and data-driven insights to transform clinical care and biomedical innovation.
Teno-Manalli brings more than two decades of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and corporate communications. Throughout her career, she has built and led communications programs supporting some of the healthcare industry’s most significant innovations, product launches, corporate transformations, and public health initiatives.
Prior to joining Tempus AI, she served at Amgen as Head of General Medicine Corporate Affairs, where she led communications across cardiovascular and bone health therapeutic areas. During her tenure, she modernized communications strategies through consumer-first approaches, introduced new strategic planning and measurement frameworks, and helped strengthen Amgen’s position in the evolving cardiometabolic disease landscape. She also served as Interim Head of U.S. Portfolio Communications, overseeing communications across oncology, inflammation, and general medicine businesses.
Before Amgen, Teno-Manalli spent more than five years with Walgreens, where she held senior communications leadership positions supporting the company’s healthcare transformation initiatives. Notably, she led communications for the nationwide rollout of COVID-19 vaccination programs, helping generate more than 30,000 earned media placements while driving public trust and engagement through integrated media, digital, community, and stakeholder communication strategies.
Earlier in her career, she held communications leadership roles with Astellas Pharma US and AbbVie, supporting oncology, immunology, rare disease, and specialty medicine portfolios. She also spent several years advising Fortune 500 healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations through leadership roles at Golin and FleishmanHillard.
Known for her expertise in corporate storytelling, executive communications, reputation management, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and healthcare communications strategy, Teno-Manalli has built a reputation for translating complex scientific and healthcare innovations into compelling narratives that resonate with patients, healthcare professionals, policymakers, investors, and broader stakeholder communities.
