Houston, Texas, United States, September 2025 — Kelly Hines has been appointed as Vice President Talent Acquisition at Patterson-UTI, bringing with her nearly three decades of global experience in talent acquisition, HR transformation, and workforce planning. In this new role, she will lead enterprise-wide recruitment strategies to support Patterson-UTI’s continued growth and operational excellence across energy markets.
Most recently, Kelly served as Head of Americas, Talent & Culture at KONE, where she spearheaded initiatives in talent management, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement. Her short but impactful tenure was marked by strengthening organizational culture and implementing forward-looking HR practices.
Before KONE, Kelly partnered with Groq as Global Recruiting Operations & Business Recruiting Leader, overseeing global acquisition strategies and HR transformation projects. Prior to this, she worked at Medtronic as Senior Director, Global Talent Acquisition Strategy & Operations, where she directed strategic hiring for global executive pipelines, built enablement teams in sourcing and recruiting operations, and enhanced employer branding.
Kelly also held senior leadership positions at Meta, where she was Director, Corporate Executive Search. There, she doubled her team size and led more than 200 executive-level hires while achieving a 92% offer acceptance rate. Before that, at Whirlpool Corporation, she served as Global Head of Executive Talent Acquisition, building and scaling a global executive recruiting function across six countries.
Her career includes significant leadership roles at United Airlines as Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Mars as European Talent Acquisition Transition Leader, and BP, where she directed upstream resourcing projects globally. She also led resourcing transformation at Reliance Industries Limited during its joint venture with BP, and earlier in her career, she served in senior recruitment leadership roles at Air Liquide and KPMG LLP.
