Kirsten Botman Appointed Director of Operations at Pantar Amsterdam

Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands, July 2026 — Pantar Amsterdam has announced the appointment of Kirsten Botman as its new Director of Operations. She will join the organization on 16 July 2026 as Manager Finance & Control (F&C) and Information & Innovation (I&I) before assuming the role of Director of Operations on 1 December 2026, when Pantar’s renewed organizational structure comes into effect.

The appointment forms part of Pantar’s organizational transformation aimed at creating a simpler structure with a stronger connection between work, development, and support. The new model is designed to enhance the organization’s ability to respond to the evolving needs of residents of Amsterdam and Diemen who face barriers to employment, while also adapting to changing market dynamics.

Kirsten brings extensive leadership experience across business operations, finance, strategy, risk management, governance, and organizational development. Most recently, she served as Chief Financial Officer at Rewire, a Data & AI consulting firm, where she was a member of the executive board and led financial leadership, governance, commercial steering, forecasting, performance optimization, and finance transformation initiatives. Prior to that, she was Director Legal & Finance at IG&H, where she played a key role in international expansion, private equity transactions, acquisitions, pricing strategy, governance, and performance management.

Earlier in her career, Kirsten spent over nine years with ABN AMRO, holding several senior finance and transformation leadership positions. She served as Finance Transformation Lead & Business Management, where she developed the long-term strategy for the global finance organization and led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Before that, she was Country CFO at ABN AMRO Luxembourg S.A., overseeing finance operations for the private banking and life insurance businesses while serving on the country management team. She also held leadership roles including Manager Business Control – Retail Banking, Analyst ALM/Treasury – Strategy & Planning, Commodity Sales Advisor – Financial Markets, and Business Manager to the Chief Risk Officer, contributing to finance strategy, treasury, risk management, liquidity planning, and large-scale transformation programs.

Beyond her executive career, Kirsten has built a distinguished portfolio of governance and supervisory roles. She currently serves as a Member of SER Topvrouwen, Member of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee at Het Balletorkest (The Dutch Ballet Orchestra), and Member of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee at Kennemerhart, one of the Netherlands’ leading elderly care organizations. She previously served as a Non-Executive Board Member of SIMA Angaza Distributor Finance Fund, supporting financial inclusion and renewable energy initiatives across East Africa.

In her new role, Kirsten will lead the further development of Pantar’s business operations while supporting the implementation of sustainable agreements with the municipality and strengthening the organizational improvements already underway. Her appointment reinforces Pantar’s commitment to operational excellence, organizational development, and delivering greater social impact for people with a distance to the labour market.

Speaking about her appointment, Kirsten Botman said:

“What appeals to me about Pantar is that good business operations are not an end in themselves here. It is about creating the right preconditions so that colleagues can do their work as well as possible and the organization can fulfill its social mission. I am happy and proud that I will soon be able to contribute to this from my own role.”

Welcoming Kirsten to the organization, Ben van der Knoop, Director of Pantar, added:

“Kirsten brings a strong combination of substantive expertise, change power and connecting leadership. In addition, she has a great commitment to the people for whom Pantar is committed. I am confident that she will make an important contribution to the further development of our organization.”

About Pantar Amsterdam

The organization is dedicated to creating inclusive employment opportunities while helping people build sustainable careers and greater independence.
