Washington, District of Columbia, United States, September 2024 – Kristen Fenster has been appointed as Head of Corporate Learning and Knowledge Management at IFC – International Finance Corporation. In her new role, Kristen will lead efforts to unlock the transformative potential of knowledge, innovation, and continuous learning across sectors and geographies to enhance the impact of IFC’s investments, advisory services, and partnerships.
Kristen brings over 17 years of HR experience to her new role. Prior to this appointment, she served as Principal HR Specialist – Organizational Effectiveness at IFC, where she partnered with senior leadership to design talent solutions for over 5,000 professionals across 90+ countries. Her work involved implementing people strategies, improving processes, and introducing metrics and analytics to drive performance.

Before that, Kristen held the role of Senior HR Specialist – Strategy, Policy & Communications, where she played a crucial role in formulating and implementing global HR strategies, revamping HR policies, and overseeing knowledge management for the HR function at IFC. She also supported talent management and organizational effectiveness for the global HR team.
Kristen also gained significant experience during her time at The World Bank Group, where she served as Senior HR Specialist, Talent Acquisition. She led transformative programs and implemented the organization’s first cloud-based ATS, managed diversity hiring initiatives, and improved data analytics.
Earlier in her career, Kristen held various HR roles at IFC, including HR Program Manager, where she led talent initiatives in leadership development, global mobility, and diversity rotations. Her contributions ensured alignment with business strategy and improved organizational performance through data-driven initiatives.
