Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, February 2025 – Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) has appointed Kristen Verruggio as the Chief Financial Officer, reinforcing its financial leadership in support of the United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). In this role, Verruggio will oversee BPMI’s financial operations, strategic planning, and fiscal management, ensuring continued excellence in procurement and supply chain processes for high-quality nuclear power plant components.
Kristen Verruggio has been an integral part of BPMI for over 13 years, holding multiple leadership roles in corporate finance. Prior to her current role, she served as Treasurer and Corporate Controller, where she managed financial reporting, risk assessment, and treasury functions, playing a critical role in ensuring financial stability and regulatory compliance.

Before that, she held roles as Financial Controller, Assistant Controller, Manager of Accounting and Audit, and Senior Financial Analyst, contributing to financial governance, audit procedures, and corporate strategy execution. Her deep expertise in financial operations and risk management has been instrumental in BPMI’s continued success.
Prior to joining BPMI, Verruggio spent over six years at PNC Financial Services, where she held managerial roles in corporate accounting and financial analysis. She also gained extensive financial leadership experience at Fidelity Investments, where she served as Director of Brokerage Accounting, overseeing financial controls and compliance in investment management.
Earlier in her career, Verruggio worked at Deloitte as a Senior Accountant, where she developed expertise in audit procedures, regulatory compliance, and financial strategy.
