Burlington, Massachusetts, United States, October 2025 – Scientific Systems, an industry leader in developing AI-powered autonomy for defense applications, has announced that Kunal Mehra has been named Chief Executive Officer. Mehra succeeds his father and Scientific Systems founder Dr. Raman Mehra, who will continue with the company as Executive Chairman.
Kunal Mehra will lead the implementation of company strategy at a time of rapid growth, driven by the rising demand for cutting-edge autonomous solutions to address a new generation of threats facing the military. We are now poised to lead the charge into a new age of autonomy and shape the future of national security.”
Founded more than 30 years ago by retiring CEO Dr. Raman Mehra, Scientific Systems has grown from a small team into a major defense technology innovator. The company recently opened a new 28,000 square foot corporate headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts, positioning it for continued expansion.
“Our company, which began with humble roots, has made incredible technological breakthroughs that have saved lives on the battlefield and equipped the warfighter with the world’s most effective AI-powered autonomy,” said Dr. Raman Mehra, Executive Chairman of Scientific Systems. “I am incredibly proud of what the Scientific Systems team has accomplished over the past three decades and I am excited about what the future holds for our company.
