United Kingdom – November 2024 – Lamiya Mammadova has taken on the role of Senior Vice President, Head of People and Culture, Ingredients and Specialties at Univar Solutions, where she will lead cultural development initiatives, employee engagement, and talent management strategies across the Ingredients and Specialties division. This new role highlights Univar Solutions’ commitment to fostering a people-centric culture and supporting growth in its specialty sectors.
Prior to this position, Lamiya served as Global HR Vice President, EMEA and APAC, Consumer & Industrial at Univar Solutions for approximately four years. During her tenure, she developed a cohesive HR strategy for the regions and industries under her purview, driving initiatives focused on organizational culture, talent acquisition, and HR transformation, which significantly bolstered the company’s presence in diverse markets.
Before joining Univar Solutions, Lamiya held pivotal roles at SOCAR AQS as Chief Talent Officer and later as Chief Human Capital Officer (Interim), where she partnered closely with the CEO and leadership teams. Her focus was on leadership development, organizational culture, and enhancing HR functions to align with SOCAR AQS’s long-term goals.
Lamiya’s expertise in executive development and talent management was further shaped by her time as Global HR Director of Executive Development at Baker Hughes. Over nearly two years, she collaborated with executive leadership to implement comprehensive talent review cycles and leadership capabilities frameworks, facilitating a streamlined and impactful leadership structure.
Her career foundation was built with a robust tenure at BP, where she spent over 18 years in various senior HR roles. She notably served as Global Head of Talent for the Upstream Wells and Projects Division, where she led efforts to transform BP’s talent, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. Her efforts shaped BP’s global talent framework, particularly within critical operational and technology roles, enhancing leadership and succession planning on a global scale.
