London, England, and New York, United States, January 2025 – Laura Lane has been named Chief People Officer at The News Movement, taking on a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s people and culture strategy. Laura will work closely with the CEO and executive team to drive organizational growth and employee satisfaction while reimagining workplace dynamics in the media and journalism industry.
Laura brings extensive experience in human resources and culture leadership to The News Movement. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer at Axicom, where she developed programs fostering a thriving and inclusive culture across Europe, LATAM, and North America. Prior to Axicom, Laura held the role of Chief Culture Officer at Snag, where she focused on empowering managers, redesigning recruitment strategies, and expanding teams internationally.

Earlier, Laura was Chief People Officer at DNA Payments Group, leading talent acquisition, DEIB initiatives, and organizational redesigns that achieved significant cost reductions and supported multiple acquisitions. She also contributed to organizational development and talent consultancy during her tenure as an OD and Talent Consultant, working with fintech and digital businesses.
Her career also includes impactful roles at WorldRemit, where she served as Global Head of Talent, achieving substantial recruitment cost reductions and spearheading DEIB efforts. Additionally, Laura led talent and engagement initiatives at News UK, where she introduced employee experience programs and DEIB strategies, earning the organization industry recognition for workplace improvements.
