Chihuahua, Mexico, June 2024 – Laura Sandoval has been appointed as the new Vice President of Human Resources Global at SMTC Corporation. With a wealth of experience in human resources management, Laura is set to lead the global HR strategy, focusing on enhancing organizational effectiveness and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Laura Sandoval has been with SMTC Corporation for over four years. Prior to her new role, she served as the Human Resources Director for approximately four years, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing HR operations and aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
Before joining SMTC Corporation, Laura spent nearly four years at Safran as an HR Manager. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing HR functions, implementing HR policies, and driving employee engagement and development initiatives.
Laura’s extensive career in HR began at Jabil, where she spent over 16 years as a Human Resources Manager in the Chihuahua Area, Mexico. During her tenure, she managed various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management, significantly contributing to the company’s growth and employee satisfaction.
She also held the position of HR Manager at Cirmex de Chihuahua for about ten years, where she honed her skills in HR management and developed a deep understanding of the industry.
