Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 — Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited has appointed Amarendra Kumar as Senior Vice President, marking a significant leadership addition as the company continues to strengthen its senior commercial and business leadership. Based in Mumbai, Amarendra Kumar will take on a strategic mandate focused on driving business priorities and contributing to Emcure’s growth agenda across key markets and portfolios.
In this new role, Amarendra Kumar brings extensive experience across business leadership, P&L ownership, and large-team management within the pharmaceutical sector. His appointment is underpinned by a track record of leading high-impact portfolios and scaling business performance across competitive therapy areas.
Before joining Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, Amarendra Kumar was associated with JB, where he served as Vice President after progressing from Assistant Vice President. During this phase, he contributed to business leadership in Mumbai, supporting performance outcomes and operational execution across the organization’s strategic priorities.
Earlier, he spent nearly nine years with Cipla, where he held leadership roles including BU Head and Divisional Head – Respiratory Business. In these roles, he led the Respiratory (Nebulization) business with end-to-end P&L responsibility and managed a large team of 300+ professionals, while also handling pan-India institutional business responsibilities earlier as Associate Director.
He has also been associated with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals as Zonal Sales Manager, strengthening his foundation in sales leadership and regional business management. Prior to his core pharmaceutical leadership journey, he worked with Nuclear Power Corporation of India as a System Administrator, adding early operational and systems exposure to his career profile.
Amarendra Kumar has also pursued executive learning, including Executive Education in Strategic Leadership from the Indian School of Business, and a Management Development program at Singapore Management University.
