Cedar Lake, Inc., a leader in care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, appoints Laura Wood as the new Vice President of Human Resources. This strategic addition to the leadership team is set to strengthen the organization’s human resources capabilities significantly.
Laura Wood brings a wealth of experience, having accumulated over 25 years in the HR field. Prior to joining Cedar Lake, she was the President and Chief HR Solutions Officer at Out of the Woods HR Consulting, LLC from 2019 to 2024, where she played a crucial role in developing business and operational plans and providing strategic HR partnership on a contractual basis.
Previously, Laura served as the Director of Human Resources and Privacy Officer at Kentuckiana Medical Center from 2017 to 2019. In this role, she provided HR leadership and oversight for 350 employees and was instrumental in leading strategic HR initiatives including the rollout of a new HRIS system.
Earlier in her career, Laura held significant positions at Episcopal Church Home and The Forum at Brookside, where she managed comprehensive HR functions that supported both strategic and operational needs across various facilities.
