Lea Fichter joins American Exchange Group after her tenure at Designer Brands, where she served as a Senior Corporate Recruiter for approximately 4 years and 9 months. In this role, she was responsible for recruiting for various functions including design, product development, production, marketing, finance, sales, digital/e-commerce, merchandising, and retail. Her efforts contributed significantly to the growth of Designer Brands, a global leader in the design, sourcing, production, wholesale, and retail of footwear and accessories.
Prior to Designer Brands, Lea worked at Strategic Recruiting, Inc. (SRI) as the VP, Talent Acquisition, Beauty & CPG for about 1 year and 10 months. In this role, she specialized in recruiting within the beauty and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors, leveraging her extensive industry knowledge to source and place top talent.
Lea also spent nearly 7 years at 24 Seven Inc., where she held roles as a Senior Account Manager / Recruiter and Account Manager/Recruiter. Her responsibilities included managing the full life cycle recruitment process, sourcing candidates within the fashion, creative, and CPG/beauty industries, and finishing in the top 10 for full-time billing across the company for multiple years.
Her early career includes roles such as Sr. Account Manager / Product Manager at Neo Concept, Account Manager at The Christy Group, and Product Manager at Tommy Hilfiger. In these positions, she honed her skills in account management, product management, and talent acquisition.
