Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, November 2025 — Sun International has announced the appointment of Leslie Peters to the newly created position of Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO). In this strategic leadership role, Peters will be responsible for driving digital transformation, product innovation, and technology enablement across Sun International’s integrated portfolio of hospitality, gaming, and entertainment businesses. He will report directly to Ulrik Bengtsson, Chief Executive Officer.
Before joining Sun International, Leslie Peters served as Chief Technology Officer at Games Global, where he played a key role in scaling global operations, fostering product innovation, and leading complex organizational transitions. Most notably, he oversaw the successful spin-off of Games Global from Derivco, ensuring seamless business continuity while driving new product development and strategic alignment across business units.
Prior to that, Peters spent over 14 years at Derivco, holding several pivotal technology leadership roles. As Chief Technology Officer – Games, he led the company’s engineering, product development, and mobile app operations, driving architectural transformation and agile adoption across teams. His earlier tenure as Software Development Manager, Mobile Apps saw him oversee multiple high-performance teams delivering scalable gaming solutions, while his foundational years as Team Lead – Bingo and Senior Prototype Developer laid the groundwork for his deep expertise in software design, 3D technology, and user experience.
Leslie began his career as a Software Developer at Three-B International Limited and Bubball (now TickTockGames) in the United Kingdom, where he built early-stage gaming engines and tools. These formative experiences equipped him with a strong understanding of game mechanics, architecture, and technical leadership—skills that have continued to define his career in gaming technology and digital product strategy.
With more than two decades of experience, Peters has become known for his ability to align business vision with engineering execution, foster innovation in high-growth and regulated environments, and lead cross-functional teams with a focus on agility, architecture, and performance.
