In this role, Sethen will spearhead Worth AI’s technology strategy, platform scalability, and innovation roadmap to power the company’s mission of advancing equitable, AI-driven financial decision-making.
Before joining Worth AI, Sethen Maleno served as Chief Technology Officer at WorldWinner, where he led the company’s end-to-end engineering and technology transformation initiatives. Based remotely in Las Vegas, he focused on scaling the gaming and entertainment platform’s technical infrastructure and digital capabilities to enhance user experience and performance.
Prior to this, Sethen held the position of Vice President of Engineering at PrizePicks, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the engineering organization from just 5 to over 75 members. Under his leadership, the PrizePicks app achieved the #1 ranking among all free sports apps and the #4 ranking among all free apps in the iOS store. He led the transition of the app’s architecture to React Native, enabling greater scalability and performance optimization while building systems capable of supporting millions of monthly users.
Earlier, Sethen served as Vice President of Engineering at Sonar, where he led the engineering organization’s establishment and growth. He rebuilt the platform using TypeScript, React, Redux, C#, and .NET Core, and implemented SOC 2 compliance processes, ensuring audit success. His technical leadership also included driving AWS infrastructure monitoring and collaborating closely with investors and board members on product and performance strategy.
Before his leadership roles, Sethen worked with several notable technology firms including Vapor IO, Terminus, Insightpool (acquired by TrendKite), and InComm Payments, where he contributed to scalable product development, backend infrastructure redesigns, and enterprise-grade application delivery. His deep expertise across Golang, Ruby on Rails, React.js, TypeScript, AWS, and cloud architecture underscores his proficiency in building high-performing engineering cultures focused on innovation and impact.
