Emeryville, California, United States, December 2024 – Lily Paloma has been named Head of People at Prolific Machines, where she will oversee all human resources functions, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational planning, and fostering a dynamic workplace culture to support the company’s innovative biotechnology advancements.
Prior to joining Prolific Machines, Lily Paloma held leadership roles at Metagenomi, serving as Director, HR Operations & Programs and earlier as Director, Human Resources. She was instrumental in establishing the company’s first HR policies and programs, fostering employee engagement, and driving organizational growth at the early stages of the biotech startup.

Earlier, Paloma worked at Seer, where she led HR functions as Senior Manager, Human Resources & Administration, guiding the company through rapid growth from inception to IPO. She also served as Manager, Human Resources & Administration, establishing core HR and business operations policies during Seer’s foundational phase.
Before Seer, Paloma was Manager, Human Resources & Operations (US, Canada, and LATAM) at Darktrace, overseeing HR and operations for 250+ employees across four countries in the Western Hemisphere, demonstrating her ability to manage complex, global HR functions.
Paloma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources & Organizational Behavior from California State University, East Bay.
