Basel, Switzerland, May 2026 — Liz Moran has joined Novartis as Vice President, Talent and Development – International and US, bringing extensive global experience across talent management, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, inclusion, and people development. In her new role, she will support Novartis’ talent and development agenda across international and US markets, contributing to leadership capability, workforce readiness, and people strategy across the organization.
Before joining Novartis, Liz served as Vice President, Global Head of Talent Management and People Development at SAP, where she led enterprise-wide talent and people development initiatives. Prior to SAP, she held the role of Vice President – Global Talent Management at Expedia Group, driving global talent strategy, performance management, and leadership development across the organization.
Earlier, Liz spent eight years with AstraZeneca, where she held leadership roles including Global Head of Talent, Senior Director – Talent, Development and Inclusion, and Director – Performance Management and Leadership Development. During her tenure, she worked across leadership development, inclusion, performance management, talent strategy, and organizational capability initiatives within the global biopharmaceutical sector.
Her earlier career includes more than nine years with The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., where she held roles across global employee engagement, talent management, talent acquisition, and HR generalist responsibilities. She also gained early HR experience with Urban Outfitters in benefits. With her strong experience across healthcare, technology, travel, beauty, and retail sectors, Liz is well-positioned to strengthen Novartis’ global talent development strategy.
