Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, June 2026 — TechnoSport, India’s largest activewear brand, announced the appointment of Anirudh Pratap as Head of Product and Design, strengthening its leadership team as the company scales its product portfolio, retail footprint, and category presence. In this role, Anirudh will lead TechnoSport’s product vision, with a focus on building a more differentiated activewear portfolio and accelerating innovation across key growth categories.
Anirudh brings over 21 years of experience across sportswear, activewear, and athleisure, with deep expertise in consumer insights, trend mapping, and functional performance design. He has held senior leadership roles at leading global sportswear organisations, including Reebok and adidas, where his work focused on creating products that balance performance, comfort, aspiration, and commercial relevance.
At TechnoSport, Anirudh will translate consumer behaviour, cultural shifts, and performance needs into products designed for everyday movement. His role will span materials, fits, silhouettes, graphics, functional details, and seasonal collections, while strengthening the processes that connect insight, design, development, and commercial execution.
The appointment comes as TechnoSport expands its retail and distribution footprint. The brand currently operates 52 Exclusive Brand Outlets across India, with plans to scale to around 130 stores, alongside 13,000+ retailer touchpoints. Backed by a vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystem, TechnoSport is able to connect design, development, and production more closely, bringing stronger control over quality, speed, and consistency.
India’s activewear category is witnessing steady expansion, driven by rising fitness participation, athleisure adoption, and demand for functional everyday apparel. According to IMARC Group, the Indian activewear market was valued at USD 10.72 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 17.41 billion by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 4.90% between 2026 and 2034. Against this backdrop, TechnoSport’s focus on product innovation, design capability, and scalable manufacturing positions it well to address evolving consumer needs.
Speaking on the appointment, Puspen Maity, CEO, TechnoSport, said, “At TechnoSport, our focus has always been to make high-quality activewear accessible without compromising on performance, comfort, or value. As we scale across retail, digital, and distribution channels, design will be central to building stronger consumer preference and category depth.
