Auckland, New Zealand, October 2025 — LJ Tai has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Mint Innovation, a pioneering New Zealand-based cleantech company focused on recovering valuable metals from electronic waste through sustainable biological processes. In this role, LJ will lead Mint Innovation’s global finance strategy, driving financial discipline, growth readiness, and operational scalability as the company expands its innovative biometallurgical footprint across markets.
LJ has been with Mint Innovation since 2024, previously serving as Finance Director, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s financial operations and investor relations. His elevation to CFO reflects the company’s confidence in his ability to guide Mint Innovation through its next phase of growth and global commercialization.
Before joining Mint Innovation, LJ was Head of Finance – ezyVet & VetRadar at IDEXX, where he led finance operations, strategic planning, and business integration following IDEXX’s acquisition of ezyVet. During this tenure, he was instrumental in optimizing financial systems and delivering sustainable growth outcomes across the veterinary technology portfolio.
Prior to IDEXX, LJ spent over seven years at ezyVet, where he advanced through multiple leadership roles including Head of Finance, Commercial Finance Manager, and Financial Planning & Business Analyst. His tenure there was marked by contributions to global expansion, SaaS revenue modeling, and investor reporting as ezyVet evolved into one of the world’s leading veterinary software providers.
Earlier in his career, LJ gained foundational finance experience at Orion Health, NZLH, and Mission Property, along with an early data analytics internship at the University of Auckland. With a proven record of aligning financial strategy with business innovation, he brings a unique blend of technical precision, commercial acumen, and sustainability-driven leadership to his new role at Mint Innovation.
