Houston, Texas, USA – November 2024 – Louise Carmichael has been promoted to Vice President of Talent & Development at Wood. In her new role, Louise will oversee strategic talent management and leadership development initiatives, with a focus on succession planning, coaching, and mentoring across the organization. This role builds on her extensive background in HR, where she has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering a culture of growth and development.
Louise has been with Wood for nearly seven years, previously serving as Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, she drove HR strategy and development initiatives that have been instrumental in supporting Wood’s global workforce. Prior to this, she was Senior HR Manager, Compliance, where she was responsible for compliance, reporting, and investigations across the Western Hemisphere, ensuring high standards of regulatory adherence.

Earlier in her tenure at Wood, Louise held the role of Human Resources Manager, where she managed employee relations, talent management, learning and development, and organizational development functions. Before joining Wood, Louise worked at Amec Foster Wheeler as Global HR Manager and Business Administration/HR Manager, gaining valuable experience in global HR operations. Her career began with roles at Rider Hunt International as an HR Generalist and Intern/Administrative Assistant.
