LTIMindtree, a leading player in the IT services sector, appoints Chetana Patnaik as the new Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), set to commence on April 1, 2024.
This announcement comes as part of a broader executive reshuffling strategy, including Manoj Shikarkhane transitioning to a new strategic role within the company.
Bringing a robust 27 years of HR expertise, Patnaik steps into her new position from L&T’s Transportation Infrastructure business, where she served as Head of Human Resources & CSR. Her profound experience and strategic involvement in the HR integration of LTI and Mindtree following L&T’s acquisition of Mindtree Limited poise her as an instrumental leader for her upcoming role.
The leadership reshuffle aligns with LTIMindtree’s preparation for CEO Debashis Chatterjee’s retirement in 2025, with COO Nachiket Deshpande and President Sudhir Chaturvedi among the top contenders for succession. This move underlines the company’s forward-looking approach to talent pipeline development, learning initiatives, and promoting an inclusive culture.
In her new role, Patnaik will oversee HR functions for a workforce exceeding 6000 employees, focusing on nurturing a future-ready talent pipeline, amplifying learning and development efforts, and championing organizational diversity and inclusion. Her previous roles include significant stints at GVK Group, Reliance Infrastructure, and Gati, and she joined the L&T Group in 2012 as Head of Strategic Leadership Talent Acquisition.
LTIMindtree’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and human capital strategy is evident in Patnaik’s appointment, amidst a period of leadership transitions. This strategic decision is aimed at ensuring sustained growth and innovation for the company, as it continues to navigate the dynamic landscape of the IT services industry.
