Nairobi County, Kenya, October 2025 – Bristol Park Hospital, one of Kenya’s leading healthcare institutions, has announced the appointment of Lucy Wambui as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, Lucy will lead the hospital’s people strategy, culture transformation, and HR operations, supporting its mission of delivering world-class healthcare through a skilled and motivated workforce.
With over 15 years of experience in human resources leadership, Lucy Wambui brings a strong track record of building HR functions from the ground up, driving engagement, and aligning people strategies with business growth across education, healthcare, and corporate sectors.
Before joining Bristol Park Hospital, Lucy served for more than nine years at Mudzini International School as Human Resources and Administration Manager, where she established and scaled the HR department from inception. She grew the school’s workforce from 18 to over 110 employees, implemented a comprehensive HR policy framework, introduced biometric attendance systems, and led digital transformation initiatives, including the shift to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her leadership significantly reduced turnover and improved compliance, engagement, and productivity.
Earlier, Lucy was Human Resources and Administration Manager at Apex Porter Novelli Kenya, where she strengthened workforce alignment through targeted recruitment, training, and performance management. She also enhanced engagement through structured KPIs and culture-building programs.
Before that, she worked as a Human Resource Placement Officer at the Institute of Advanced Technology (IAT), where she fostered corporate partnerships to boost graduate employability and led placement programs to support student career development. Her prior experiences include impactful HR consulting and advisory roles at Career Directions Ltd and Karen Country Club, where she specialized in talent acquisition, policy formulation, and labor law compliance for major corporate clients such as Safaricom.
Lucy began her career in HR operations and account management with Safaricom PLC, gaining practical insights into HR systems, payroll management, and employee engagement in high-performance environments.
