Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 — Madhur Taneja has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., where he will lead the overall business strategy and operations of the company and its subsidiary, Ultra Gas & Energy Limited (UGEL). In this role, he will drive GreenLine’s next phase of growth and strengthen its leadership in India’s transition to green mobility.

With over 33 years of global leadership experience spanning FMCG, Telecom, and Oil & Gas, Taneja has built a reputation for transforming businesses, scaling new ventures, and delivering sustainable growth. An alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP), he brings deep expertise in strategic vision, operational excellence, and people-first leadership.

Before joining GreenLine, Taneja was Chief Marketing Officer at Nayara Energy, where he played a pivotal role in helming the company’s country domestic business. Earlier, he served as CEO, Oil Retail at Nayara Energy, leading a transformational network expansion that grew the business significantly.

Prior to his energy sector leadership, he was CEO & Director of Essar Telecom Kenya, where he drove a turnaround of the loss-making business and concluded its strategic sale. He also served as CEO of Warid Telecom in Uganda, where he revitalized operations, grew market share, and successfully steered the business to profitability.

Earlier in his career, Taneja held key leadership positions at Essar Telecom Infrastructure, Jaipuria Group, Bharti Airtel, and PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, where he drove growth, operational improvements, and profitability across markets in India and abroad. His diverse career journey has equipped him with the skills to build future-ready organizations across sectors and geographies.
