Mahindra Group Promotes In-House Talent Across Businesses

The Mahindra Group made strategic leadership changes across its businesses. Manoj Bhat, the current Group CFO, is set to become the MD & CEO of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MHRIL) from May 17, 2024, succeeding Kavinder Singh, who is moving on to a new professional endeavour from May 16, 2024.

Amarjyoti Barua, who is currently the executive vice president of Group Strategy, will step into the role of Group CFO for the Mahindra Group starting May 17, 2024.

Anish Shah, Group CEO & Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra, emphasized the group’s commitment to talent development and expressed gratitude for Kavinder Singh’s contributions to MHRIL. On Manoj Bhat’s appointment, Shah highlighted his leadership experiences, value creation skills, and customer-centric approach, aligning with the Group’s philosophy.

In a planned rotation of finance talent, Vimal Agarwal, the current CFO of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited (MLDL), will assume the role of CFO for MHRIL. Avinash Bapat will succeed him as CFO of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. (MLDL). 

Kavinder Singh, who joined the Mahindra Group in 2014, played a key role in transforming MHRIL into a world-class vacation ownership company. 

Manoj Bhat, who took on the role of Group CFO in April 2021, previously served as CFO of Tech Mahindra. He played a crucial role in Tech Mahindra’s growth initiatives, including acquiring and integrating Satyam and Tech Mahindra’s IPO in 2006.

Amarjyoti Barua, who joined the Mahindra Group in May 2023, brings significant experience from his tenure at Baker Hughes and GE, where he served in various global roles over 6 and 18 years, respectively.
