Manish Tiwary Appointed as Chairman of the Board at Nestlé India

New Delhi, India, July 2025
— Manish Tiwary has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board at Nestlé India, marking a significant leadership transition at one of India’s foremost FMCG companies. Tiwary’s appointment comes after his recent roles at Nestlé SA, where he served as Director of Special Projects at the global headquarters in Switzerland, followed by his elevation as Managing Director (Designate) earlier this year. Prior to Nestlé, he spent over eight years at Amazon, concluding his tenure as Country Manager for India, where he played a pivotal role in accelerating the company’s market leadership and operational innovation across the country.

Before Amazon, Tiwary served in various high-impact leadership roles at Unilever, including Managing Director of Unilever Gulf and Executive Director at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). His tenure was distinguished by his pioneering work in customer development, digital transformation, rural distribution, and e-commerce. He spearheaded initiatives such as Project Shakti, enabling rural entrepreneurship among women, and developed global best practices in sales technology and channel strategy, many of which have been recognized by platforms such as Harvard and TED.

Tiwary’s global outlook and deep understanding of diverse markets across India, the Gulf, and North Africa have equipped him with the leadership depth required to guide Nestlé India through its next phase of sustainable growth. Under his chairmanship, the company is expected to further elevate its leadership in the Indian FMCG sector by driving innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
