Ballari, Karnataka, India, June 2026 — Manoj Kumar Barik has been elevated to Operations Head at JSW Cement, recognizing his outstanding contributions to operational excellence, maintenance leadership, plant performance, and manufacturing efficiency. This promotion marks a significant milestone in a distinguished career spanning more than two decades in the cement and engineering industries.
In his new role as Operations Head, Barik will lead plant operations, manufacturing performance, maintenance excellence, resource optimization, and strategic operational initiatives aimed at strengthening productivity and supporting JSW Cement’s continued growth ambitions. His elevation reflects the organization’s confidence in his ability to drive operational excellence while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Since joining JSW Cement in 2019 as General Manager – Mechanical, Barik has played a pivotal role in enhancing plant performance and equipment reliability. He has successfully led maintenance, operations, planning, and budgeting activities for critical production systems while managing a team of more than 21 engineers and over 200 maintenance professionals. Under his leadership, equipment availability improved significantly, operational efficiencies increased, and maintenance optimization initiatives delivered measurable cost savings and productivity gains.
Throughout his tenure at JSW Cement, Barik has championed preventive and predictive maintenance programs, process optimization projects, lifecycle improvement initiatives, and best-practice implementation across manufacturing operations. His collaborative approach with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders has ensured seamless execution of key projects while supporting the company’s focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Prior to joining JSW Cement, Barik spent nearly 14 years with ACC Limited as Chief Manager – Mechanical, where he led maintenance operations for cement grinding and integrated plants. During his tenure, he successfully drove equipment reliability improvements, reduced downtime, optimized inventory management, strengthened maintenance practices, and enhanced overall plant performance. His leadership contributed significantly to operational efficiency and business competitiveness.
Earlier in his career, Barik held positions with Masyc Projects Pvt. Ltd., Enterprising Innovative Engineers, and General Engineering Corporation, building strong expertise in mechanical engineering, design, maintenance management, quality control, and industrial operations. His extensive experience across engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance functions has established him as a respected leader within the cement industry.
