Leipzig, Saxony, Germany, April 2026 — Mario Feuerer has started a new position as Chief Product & Chief Technology Officer at nextbike, joining the European bike-sharing leader at a pivotal stage of its transformation and growth.
In his new role, Mario Feuerer will lead product and technology strategy across nextbike’s integrated mobility ecosystem, driving the company’s evolution from a bike-sharing provider into a scalable, platform-centric public mobility solution. He will oversee physical and digital product development, IoT-enabled fleet systems, engineering, operational systems, and international product teams while strengthening integration with urban and public transport networks.
Before joining nextbike, Mario served as Global Vice President and Global Head of Product Management at Giesecke+Devrient, where he led global product management and IoT portfolios focused on secure, scalable SaaS, cybersecurity, data security, and connectivity solutions. Over nearly eight years, he played a major role in digital transformation, product innovation, and large-scale business leadership.
Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at Avast Software, where he led global B2C product and business development, and as CEO & Co-Founder of secure.me, a pioneering privacy and data protection company later acquired by Avast. His earlier career also includes leadership positions with e-TF1, Telefónica Europe, United Internet Media AG, and Media Professionals AG, where he built deep expertise across digital business, SaaS platforms, cybersecurity, e-commerce, strategic growth, and international product management.
With more than two decades of experience across technology, mobility, cybersecurity, and digital transformation, Mario brings extensive global leadership to nextbike’s mission of shaping sustainable multimodal public mobility.
