She served as Director of Live Entertainment for the Boston College Campus Activities Board, where she managed large-scale events, budgets, and student engagement initiatives. She also played an integral role in student advocacy as part of the Boston College Women’s Center, facilitating discussions and promoting education around social justice, equity, and gender issues.
Her commitment to inclusive leadership and high-impact communication is evident in her work as an Orientation Leader for Boston College’s Office of First Year Experience, where she helped thousands of students transition into university life. Through multiple student-centered roles across Boston College, Mariwa developed a keen understanding of audience engagement, message strategy, and program execution.
Mariwa’s early career also includes time as a Teaching Assistant and Counselor with Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM) and customer-facing experience with Georgetown Cupcake, demonstrating her adaptability and service-oriented mindset.
