Martin Ponieman Machiñena Appointed as Vice President, Head of People at IPSY

Miami, Florida, United States, September 2024 – Martin Ponieman Machiñena has been appointed as the Vice President, Head of People at IPSY, a leading beauty subscription platform. In this role, Martin will lead the company’s people strategy, focusing on talent management, leadership development, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across the organization.

Prior to his current role, Martin served as the Senior Director, People Partners at IPSY. Over nearly a year, he spearheaded various people-centric initiatives, driving organizational change and enhancing employee engagement. His success in this role paved the way for his recent promotion to Vice President, where he will continue to guide IPSY’s people agenda on a broader scale.

Before joining IPSY, Martin was the Director HRBP, Global Advanced Innovation at Nike. During his time at Nike, he played a critical role in the company’s innovation hub, working closely with senior leadership to align people strategies with Nike’s cutting-edge business goals in innovation and global product development.

Martin also spent over a decade at IBM, where he held various senior roles. As the Global HR Leader and Executive Succession & Development, he contributed significantly to the company’s talent pipeline and leadership development strategies. His earlier roles at IBM included Manager, Global Executive Search and Transformation Leader – HR Leadership, Learning & Inclusion, where he led key global initiatives across HR operations, leadership development, and diversity programs.

In the initial phase of his career at IBM, Martin gained experience in Customer Fulfillment and HR for Latin America, which gave him a deep understanding of the global talent landscape and business operations, shaping him into a versatile HR leader.
