Before joining Snowflake, Matthew spent over five years at HubSpot, where he held progressively senior leadership roles including Senior Manager, Data Science, People Analytics Manager, and Behavioral Science Team Lead. During his tenure, he built advanced predictive analytics capabilities, developed AI-powered workforce tools, led employee engagement and attrition forecasting initiatives, and created scalable people insights solutions for executive leadership.
Earlier in his career, Matthew served as Assistant Professor of Strategy & Organization at McGill University, where he specialized in organizational behavior, workforce strategy, computational social science, and labor market research. He also conducted advanced research at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, further strengthening his expertise in organizational analytics and data science.
His career foundation includes impactful research roles at American Institutes for Research, The Urban Institute, Brown University, and The Brookings Institution, building a unique blend of academic rigor and practical people strategy.
