Morris Plains, New Jersey, United States, August 2024 – Matthew Tietjen has started his new role as Vice President Human Resources, Sustainability & Decarbonization at Honeywell. In this role, he will lead HR for a business focused on transitioning the world to a low-carbon future through breakthrough HFO technology and partnering with pharmaceutical companies to sustainably improve their packaging solutions for patients around the world. Matthew expressed gratitude to both Jennifer Reilly and Jeff Dormo for this opportunity.
Matthew Tietjen has been with Honeywell for over 10 years. Before his current role, he served as the Vice President Human Resources ISC and Functions, managing a team of 14 and providing HR business partnership for multiple senior executives across Honeywell’s Safety & Productivity Solutions and Energy & Sustainability Solutions Strategic Business Units.
Previously, Matthew was the Senior Director Human Resources, where he led HR initiatives for SPS Supply Chain, Transformation, Customer Experience, and Technology/R&D. Before that, he served as the Human Resources Director, supporting global law, HSE, security/investigations, and flight operations for Honeywell Corporate.
Matthew’s earlier roles at Honeywell include Senior HR Manager, HR Manager, and Senior HR Generalist – Commercial, among others. His career at Honeywell has been marked by a series of promotions and increasing responsibilities, reflecting his strategic HR leadership and commitment to driving talent and performance initiatives.
Before joining Honeywell, Matthew worked at AstraZeneca as an HR Generalist – Sales and Sales Operations and at Bristol Myers Squibb in various HR roles, including HR Generalist – Sales and Sales Operations, HR Generalist (United States Pharmaceuticals), and HR Generalist (Global Manufacturing and Supply).
