Mumbai, Maharashtra, India – November 2024 – Mahindra & Mahindra has welcomed Meenakshi Priyam as their Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), where she will lead the HR function for the company’s global Automotive business. Known for her admiration of Mahindra’s values and reputation, Priyam steps into her role with a commitment to strengthen and enhance HR practices across Mahindra’s extensive operations.
With an impressive background in HR leadership, Meenakshi Priyam brings over two decades of experience to Mahindra & Mahindra, spanning renowned organizations in diverse sectors. Prior to joining Mahindra, she served as the Group CHRO at udaan.com, where she played a pivotal role in expanding the organization’s reach throughout India to support MSMEs through technology. She was also deeply involved in leading strategic HR initiatives as Chair of the Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee at the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where she actively advocated for inclusive workplaces.
Before her tenure at udaan, Priyam held key roles at GSK, where she served as CHRO India & Global HR Head CEP, overseeing HR for India and providing strategic HR leadership for GSK’s Classic and Established Products (CEP) portfolio globally. Her earlier career includes over three years at Novartis and over seven years at Johnson & Johnson, where she held multiple senior roles, including Regional HR Director APAC and Total Rewards Lead for the APAC region. These roles underscored her capabilities in talent strategy, organizational development, and compensation management, solidifying her reputation as a results-oriented HR leader.
She began her HR journey as a Consultant with Watson Wyatt and then as Deputy Manager at Axis Bank, gaining invaluable experience across various HR functions.
