Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, April 2026 — Meghan M. Brown has joined Mortenson as Vice President, Human Resources, where she will lead HR for the company’s three non-construction businesses — Mortenson Properties, Inc. (MPI), Vermilion, and Mortenson Development, Inc. (MDI).
In this role, Meghan will focus on strengthening people strategy, enabling business growth, and advancing organizational effectiveness across these business units, supporting Mortenson’s broader mission of delivering high-performing assets and integrated services.
Prior to joining Mortenson, Meghan served as an Independent Consultant, advising organizations on strategy execution, transformation, and organizational effectiveness, bringing a strong enterprise-wide perspective to her new role.
Before that, she spent over a decade with Bremer Bank, where she held multiple senior leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Chief Administrative Officer, a first-of-its-kind role reporting to the CEO and Board, where she led enterprise strategy execution, program management, business planning, and process improvement, driving a culture of innovation and disciplined execution.
Earlier at Bremer Bank, Meghan held a dual C-suite role as Chief People & Culture Officer and EVP, Enterprise Program Office, where she led HR strategy, organizational development, and large-scale transformation initiatives, delivering significant business impact while enhancing talent readiness and employee experience.
She also served as Chief Human Resources Officer for several years, where she played a critical role in enterprise transformation, workforce strategy, leadership development, and cultural evolution during a period of significant growth and consolidation.
Prior to Bremer Bank, Meghan was Director, Human Resources at Target Corporation, where she partnered with senior leadership across marketing, e-commerce, and corporate functions, designing operating models, talent strategies, and leadership development programs that positioned HR as a strategic business partner.
She began her leadership journey at Tapemark as Vice President, Human Resources, where she led HR, communications, and community relations during a period of business transformation, building modern talent systems and organizational effectiveness practices.
Meghan holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, further strengthening her expertise in business strategy and leadership.
