DALLAS – PlayersTV, the pioneering athlete-owned media network focused on lifestyle and culture, today proudly announced a significant expansion of its leadership and ownership team. Michele Ghee, CEO of Expectant Media, has been appointed as the first Chairwoman of the Board, marking a historic moment for the network. This strategic appointment is complemented by the welcoming of WNBA stars Alysha Clark and Chiney Ogwumike as investor owners, underscoring the network’s commitment to diversity and empowering athletes’ voices.

With an illustrious three-decade career in media and entertainment, Michele Ghee brings unparalleled expertise to PlayersTV. Her leadership roles have spanned some of the most influential media companies, including EBONY and Jet, EBONY Studios, and BET Networks, where she launched BETHer, the first network for Black women. At PlayersTV, Ghee will leverage her vast experience to drive innovation, growth, and build strategic partnerships that enhance the network’s offerings and reach.

“I’m honored to guide and direct this brilliant team of forward-thinking individuals to accelerate their growth,” Ghee stated. Her enthusiasm for steering the network into new avenues of success is palpable as she prepares to engage athlete fans globally and hold the marketplace accountable.

Adding to the network’s dynamism, Alysha Clark and Chiney Ogwumike join as investor owners, bringing their incredible athletic prowess and cultural insights to the platform. Chiney Ogwumike, known for her achievements both on the court and as a sports broadcaster, and Alysha Clark, a three-time WNBA champion and culinary enthusiast, are set to infuse PlayersTV with their unique perspectives on sports, lifestyle, and culture.

Chiney Ogwumike expressed her excitement about joining PlayersTV, emphasizing the opportunity to take control of her narrative and contribute to the platform’s diverse storytelling. Similarly, Alysha Clark shared her enthusiasm for challenging stereotypes about athletes and introducing her cooking show, “Off-Seasoning with Alysha Clark,” to the network.
