Chicago, Illinois, United States, December 2024 – Mesirow, an independent and employee-owned financial services firm, has announced the appointment of Jason Handrinos as Senior Managing Director, Global Head of Fixed Income Sales and Growth within its Institutional Sales and Trading team. In this newly created role, Handrinos will spearhead fixed income sales, foster collaboration across Mesirow’s businesses, explore new revenue opportunities, and expand the firm’s reach in Asia and Europe.

Mesirow Institutional Sales & Trading, one of the nation’s most active desks with significant annual secondary trading volume, is a vital component of Mesirow Capital Markets. Its capabilities include CTL and Structured Debt, Ground Lease Financing, Public Finance, Realty Bridge Equity, and Sale-Leaseback Capital.
Handrinos joins Mesirow with over 15 years of experience in Institutional Capital Markets. Before this role, he was Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Sales for the Midwest region at Jefferies. His earlier career includes leadership roles at Barclays as Director of Credit Sales and as an Associate in credit trading at Credit Suisse.
Handrinos holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Ohio State University and maintains FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses.
