May 2024, Chile – Micaela Müller embarks on a new chapter in her career as the Regional Head of Human Resources at Glencore, leveraging her extensive background in strategic HR leadership to enhance workforce management within the multinational commodity trading and mining company.
Müller joins Glencore after a significant tenure at BHP, where she most recently served as Head of Strategic Planning, Governance & Integration for Non-Operated Joint Ventures. In this role, she was instrumental in overseeing the integration and performance management of BHP’s joint ventures, aligning them closely with corporate strategies and governance frameworks.
Prior to this, Müller was the Head of HR Consulting for Minerals Americas at BHP from September 2019 to April 2023. Her leadership was pivotal in delivering a range of HR services and strategic initiatives across multiple countries, significantly enhancing organizational effectiveness and business productivity within the region.
Müller’s earlier role as Compensation & Benefit Manager for Minerals Americas, from December 2015 to September 2019, saw her developing and implementing comprehensive reward strategies that supported regional business objectives and workforce motivation.
Müller’s career before joining BHP included significant roles where she developed deep expertise in HR management. She was involved in several strategic HR positions, where she led major initiatives focused on compensation and benefits, strategic HR planning, and organizational development across various organizations. This experience provided her with a robust foundation for her roles at BHP and now Glencore.
